So it has been stated that the jbi process can now ONLY produce 4.4 barrels of fuel per ton of plastic.

4.4 x $110/brl = $484

The most inexpensive plastic that is specifically segregated and available in large quantity is $600/ton.

Now let's just use the argument that they are getting it cheaper and doing the separation and decontamination themselves.

How much does that cost?

Even the best recyclers are happy to make an average of 10% because the recycling subsidies kick in to make it worth while.

So let's take $600 and shave off 10%... hell, let's say that jbi is wizbang perfect at it and they shave off $100 by processing it themselves.

so, $250 for plastic (completely dreaming)

and $250 in processing overhead (completely dreaming)

And now that super cheap plastic that every recycler would be desperately fighting for because it's way under priced and they can make a better profit recycling...
And the newest and best ever processing at far below experts trained in the arts ability to achieve....

and you still have $500 in expense to make $484 worth of fuel.

Add in the overhead to make fuel


And every step of the way...


perfecting everything beyond the current industries ability...

consistently getting huge amounts of plastic well below market value...


AND IT'S STILL A LOSS!


THERE IS NO WAY THE MATH WORKS!


Even if the plastic was FREE the possibility to perfect the processing of it for less than the well experienced recycle industry currently does WITHOUT any recycling subsidies...
