Christian Radio Host Rick Wiles Claims God Made Satan Character Look Like Obama on History Channel

Christian radio host Rick Wiles recently claimed on his TruNews show that God intervened on the History Channel’s 'The Bible' miniseries to make the Satan character look like President Obama (audio below).

Wiles' statement was apparently in response to many conservatives, including Glenn Beck, who have claimed that the Satan character looks similar to Obama.

“God guided the hand of the makeup artist and blinded the eyes of everybody on the movie set while it was being recorded,” said Wiles, reports RightWingWatch.org [ http://www.rightwingwatch.org/content/rick-wiles-man-white-house-devil-hell (next below)].

Wiles also claims that God “removed” the “spiritual blinders” once “the program was broadcast nationally on the History Channel.”

"How many clues do we need from Heaven to understand that the man in the White House is a devil from Hell," said Wiles.

In response to the controversy, the History Channel said in a recent press release: “HISTORY channel has the highest respect for President Obama,” the network said in a press release. "The series was produced with an international and diverse cast of respected actors. It's unfortunate that anyone made this false connection. HISTORY’s ‘The Bible’ is meant to enlighten people on its rich stories and deep history.”

'The Bible' executive producers Mark Burnett and Roma Downey called the controversy “utter nonsense” in the same press release, which stated that actor Mehdi Ouzaani had played Satan before Obama was elected, reports TheHill.com [ http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/288767-history-channel-unfortunate-people-see-resemblance-between-obama-satanic-character- ].

Rick Wiles: 'The Man in the White House Is a Devil from Hell'

As Mr. Obama prepares to enter Jerusalem this week, days before Passover, another massive swarm of locusts have entered southern Israel. Mr. Obama is not only facing a biblical plague of locust in the Middle East he is also being compared to Satan in the popular “The Bible” series on the History Channel. Sunday night’s latest chapter on the series featured Lucifer and viewers around the nation immediately thought Satan looked like Barack Obama. Mark Burnett, the creator of the miniseries, denied reports that that actor was made to look like Mr. Obama. His wife Roma Downey said “both Mark and I have nothing but respect and love for our President who is a fellow Christian.” Likewise, the History Channel denounced the internet and talk radio chatter that the Lucifer character resembles Mr. Obama, in a statement the TV network said it was “unfortunate that anybody made this false connection.”

Now here’s my take on it: I believe Mark Burnett and his wife and the History Channel. I don’t believe they intentionally portrayed the Lucifer character to look like Mr. Obama. I think God guided the hand of the makeup artist and blinded the eyes of everybody on the movie set while it was being recorded, and the spiritual blinders were removed Sunday night when the program was broadcast nationally on the History Channel. How many clues do we need from Heaven to understand that the man in the White House is a devil from Hell?
