The need is extraordinary.
Production of SafePath kits for retrofitting existing power wheelchairs can be ramped up more quickly than most new products.
The disabled community has a strong social network, once in production the demand for SafePath retrofit kits will go viral.
OEM licensing of SafePath for wheelchairs will follow.
Once the SafePath brand for robotic navigation becomes recognized through use in wheelchairs there will be licensing demand for all sorts of applications - robotic and standard locomotion too.
SafePath is software - it uses sensors - any sensors which are appropriate to the application (lawnmowers vs jets). It processes the sensor input through AI (artificial intelligence) and creates situational awareness for not only obstacle avoidance but independent navigation.
I've been studying this for months now, it's not easy to follow, but once you get it, the potential for SafePath commercially is an OMG thing.
