With earnings on January 23rd after the close, a series of newly-printed articles on NFLX from Seeking Alpha and Motley Fool are all beating a bearish tone.
Citing a laundry list of negatives – including rising competition from TV and Internet competitors, an “exodus” of subscribers from the higher margin DVD business, losses from their international segment, and even the rumor that Carl Icahn may be selling his shares – it sure looks like a bearish sentiment is now casting doubt into NFLX’s recent upside move. We’ve seen these pre-earnings sell-offs before.
