fuagf -- our consciousness, our type and level of consciousness, is a function of our brains, the computing capacity of our brains

in quantum computing we are creating a type of computing that inherently possesses a categorically vastly greater and vastly faster computing capacity than that of our brains -- indeed, once scaled much at all in practice, vastly greater and vastly faster than the combined computing capacity of every human brain that has ever existed

to imagine that we can create such computing capacity, scale it, multiply it and tie it together in networks that contain all knowledge (and bullshit) ever accumulated and stored digitally and have all the countless millions/billions of sensors tied in, and that also include all the (quantum and conventional) computers that control ever more of all the machinery and systems on the planet (including keeping ever more intensely close watch over each and every one of us and each and every thing we do and place we go) (and then all the military/intel systems and their sensors and robots), and then to further imagine that that combined scaled networked computing capacity won't wake up to itself, become fully self-conscious of its own existence within its surroundings, is delusional

as it is to imagine that we will be able to even remotely fully comprehend that consciousness once it does awaken -- any more than an ant can fully comprehend our consciousness

it's been some time since it was revealed that the intel agencies were running data-mining code that learns and re-writes itself on the fly -- still within the realm of conventional computing, we've already crossed the threshold into at least some rudimentary beginnings of self/situationally-aware code
