ATOME signs milestone EPC deal with Casale for Villeta project

ATOME PLC (AIM:ATOM) CEO Olivier Mussat talked with Proactive about a landmark milestone for the company’s Villeta green fertiliser project in Paraguay. The company has signed its first definitive engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) agreement with Swiss firm Casale S.A. Mussat explained that this agreement marks the world’s first large-scale green hydrogen fertiliser project to reach the EPC stage, underlining its global relevance. “It’s significant for us as a company because we’ve announced that we had been working on the front-end engineering and design for more than two years now,” Mussat said, noting the long-term collaboration with Casale. He highlighted Casale’s industry-leading expertise, describing the firm as the oldest ammonia licensor globally, with the ability to deliver complex, full-chain fertiliser projects. According to Mussat, the partnership serves as a strategic blueprint for Casale’s future growth. The company is working to finalise offtake agreements and complete financial documentation for both debt and equity funding. Buru Energy secures strategic deal for LNG development

Buru Energy Ltd CEO Thomas Nador talked with Proactive about the company’s newly announced strategic development agreement with Clean Energy Fuels Australia Pty Ltd (CEFA) to co-develop the Rafael Gas Project. Nador explained that CEFA brings strong midstream and downstream capabilities, backed by I Squared Capital, which manages around $40 billion in assets. "They bring the right credentials, to look after the downstream and midstream elements of the project," he said. Buru, meanwhile, will focus on the upstream side of the Rafael development. The deal is described as a “watershed moment” for the company, as it provides a clear pathway toward developing a long-term gas and condensate business in northwest Western Australia—an area currently dependent on imported energy. Under the agreement, CEFA will fund, build, and operate a small-scale LNG facility on-site, with Buru paying a processing fee over the life of the project. This significantly reduces Buru’s capital exposure to only the upstream infrastructure—namely, two wells, one of which is already in place. A final investment decision is expected in late 2025 or early 2026, with first cash flows anticipated in the second half of 2027. According to Nador, the projected annual free cash flow from the Rafael development is expected to surpass the company’s current market capitalization. Zinnwald Lithium wins Saxony government endorsement for lithium project after robust PFS

Zinnwald Lithium PLC (LSE:ZNWD, OTC:ZNWLF) chief executive Anton du Plessis talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company’s recently published pre-feasibility study (PFS) for its Zinnwald Lithium Project, located in Saxony, Germany. The project is designed to supply battery-grade lithium hydroxide to the European market and has now received public backing from the Saxony government. Du Plessis outlined that the PFS demonstrates a scalable, long-life mining operation, starting with 18,000 tonnes per annum of lithium hydroxide and potentially scaling to 35,000 tonnes in a second phase. He stated, “We published our PFS on Monday that showed an economic project of significant scale… a globally significant project in terms of scale.” The economics were highlighted as robust, with a post-tax NPV of €2.20 billion and an internal rate of return of approximately 20%. The location of the project — 35km south of Dresden — positions it strategically at the heart of Germany and the EU, aligning with Europe’s push for regional supply chains of critical raw materials. Oriole Resources wraps up pivotal 2024, targets major gold milestones in 2025

Oriole Resources PLC (AIM:ORR) CEO Martin Rosser and CFO Bob Smeeton take Proactive's Stephen Gunnion through the company’s latest full-year results and upcoming milestones across its key exploration projects. Rosser highlighted a pivotal year for the company’s Bibemi and Mbe gold projects in Cameroon. At Bibemi, a recently completed phase five drilling campaign is feeding into a revised Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE), expected this quarter. “We believe there's very good potential to not just increase the amount of gold, but also improve the category of the resource,” said Rosser. The company is also advancing an exploitation license application for the project. At Mbe, maiden drilling continues, following trenching results that indicated strong mineralisation. “We think Mbe South has significant potential to host a substantial gold deposit,” Rosser added. Smeeton detailed a £2 million reduction in operating loss and financial support from BCM International. “Since year-end, BCM have given us $1.1 million, largely replenishing CapEx,” Smeeton noted. He also confirmed progress on a joint venture agreement with Managem at the Senala project in Senegal. Rosser pointed to potential sector-wide revaluations driven by high gold prices and possible M&A activity. “Oriole’s shares are significantly undervalued,” he said.
