Of course you know that churches broke into political factions over the proper method of dunking.
I was raised Nazarene, they didn't dunk, they sprinkled, but they believed in two works of grace, you got saved and then you got "sanctified". After you were sanctified you weren't supposed to sin any more because it was a special dispensation of grace.
It was a beautiful song, but I don't believe the practices were that spiritually beneficial. They were a public "shaming" and a denial of the fact that we all "come short of the glory of God".
No one of us is more special than the other in the eyes of Got. He/She accepts us as we are and if we are alive in Spirit we move forward, sometimes a few steps back too, but those are just learning experiences *grin*.
