Dinesh D'Souza takes hiatus to spend time with more families

I don't know squat about Dinesh D'Souza. But all I need to know right now is that he's huge in

Although D’Souza has been married for 20 years to his wife, Dixie, in South Carolina he was with a young woman, Denise Odie Joseph II, and introduced her to at least three people as his fiancée.

Finally, near 11 p.m., event organizer Tony Beam escorted D’Souza and Joseph to the nearby Comfort Suites. Beam noted that they checked in together and were apparently sharing a room for the night in the sold-out hotel. The next morning, around 6 a.m., Beam arrived back at the hotel and called up to D’Souza’s room. “We’ll be down in 10 minutes,” D’Souza told Beam. D’Souza and Joseph came down together, and Beam took them to the airport.

The next day another conference organizer, Alex McFarland, distressed by D’Souza’s behavior, confronted him in a telephone conversation. D’Souza admitted he shared a room with his fiancée but said “nothing happened.” When I called D’Souza, he confirmed that he was indeed engaged to Joseph, but did not explain how he could be engaged to one woman while still married to another. When asked when he had filed for divorce from his wife, Dixie, D’Souza answered, “Recently.”

How recently?

According to San Diego County (Calif.) Superior Court records, D’Souza filed for divorce only on Oct. 4, the day I spoke with him.

Wow. I can already feel my traditional marriage being threatened!

Well, whatever. Who cares if this big-time Christian industrialist is dumping the wife for a woman half his age, right? But I did think it was funny to find that his special lady friend had authored a blog post on Smart Girl Politics [ http://smartgirlpolitics.ning.com/profiles/blogs/newt-you-fox-are-you-trying-to-sweep-me-off-my-feet-don-t-you ] entitled in part, "Newt You Fox, Are You Trying to Sweep Me Off My Feet? Don’t You know I’m Taken?"

Taken? Which one of these two is supposed to care about that?

In a post [ http://smartgirlpolitics.ning.com/profiles/blogs/whatever-happened-to-good-ole-hypocrisy-as-america-looks-down-the?xg_source=activity ] on a conservative blog, she rails against feminists and “RINO men” for ruining marriage and traditional morality. “Feminists/liberals who intended to destroy and transform that sacred cornerstone of American society—the traditional family” she explains, adding that today’s state of the family proves that “the 19th Amendment was never the best idea ever.” She blames feminist academics for increases in adultery, failed marriages and cohabitation, and even goes on to say that America’s children “are going the way of black ghetto society” thanks to feminists and Ke$ha.

Whatever, man. Poor Dinesh D'Souza. He loved America too much.*
