I tried putting in a trial buy order for a grey market security with my broker, Merrill Edge, to see how it would be handled and received the following notice:

I couldn't try placing a sell order as I don't own any GM (or OTC) stocks.

Merrill Edge is the discount side of Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
