Bloomberg Law: Creditors vs. Union, etc.

Bloomberg Law has a very good audio excerpt (it is short, but very on point) on Creditors vs. Union, etc.:

Audio Download: Rochelle on Patriot Coal, Beechcraft Sale, Trademar

On top of abundant financial problems, Patriot Coal Corp. (PCXCQ) may have a so-called venue problem if labor unions or other creditors argue the bankruptcy reorganization should have been filed somewhere closer to where operations are located, as Bloomberg Law's Lee Pacchia and Bloomberg News bankruptcy columnist Bill Rochelle discuss on their podcast. Hawker Beechcraft Inc., a manufacturer of light and medium-sized aircraft, may end up being partly owned by the municipal government of Beijing if another buyer doesn't show up offering to pay more than about $1.8 billion. The podcast ends with discussion of an appeals court decision making a trademark owner's bankruptcy less frightening for those who license the right to use trademarks.
