I have no hard information, but my instincts tell me that if they are going to redeem, it would be to avoid dividends. But, since they're already not paying dividends, there's no reason to redeem at this point; they're sitting on a pile of free money (proceeds from sale of preferreds with no payback schedule.)

I think it's more likely they will start dividends back up before they start redeeming preferreds - it's cheaper in the short-term.


I have a social disorder (although it's not quite full blown Asperger's), and can come across differently than intended...if you're offended by something I've said, I probably didn't mean it with such animosity - please take it with a grain of salt. :)
