Is purging State voter rolls politically motivated?
Today The Diane Rehm show (NPR) discussed FL Gov Rick Scott and his Sec'ty of State Ken Detzner's effort to purge the FL voter rolls because "too many voters in FL are not eligible to vote"...
DUKING IT OUT OVER FLORIDA'S VOTER PURGE
"Of the 2,700 potential noncitizens that Mr. Detzner's department has identified, more than over 500 have been found to be U.S. citizens and therefore lawful voters and only about 40 have been stipped from the rolls because they were indeed not qualified to vote. There also are names among the 2,700 that were removed because of death before local supervisors ever received the state's order to purge".
-Miami Herald Editorial, 06/11/12

During the last session of the VA Assembly, delegates voted to issue new voter ID cards with no pic. VA will incur the cost of issuing new voter cards to every registered voter statewide with NO PICTURE...One can't help but wonder what printer/s donated $$$ to the Virginia GOP.
