Well, I'm sure Kinross has crunched all the numbers, going forward with a long term grind of sifting out 1.17gm/ton of gold. There saving grace is that of open pit mining, major miners like Kinross can get away with such low levels of gold and make a profit.
I vote to sell the gold sections.
Fact is all the good gold mines have been exploited and Kinross probably has nothing better to do with all their equipment.
