Can't help you my friend. My well is only 35' deep and that takes a lot of hand pumping. I don't think a manual pump could lift 300'

I don't suppose you can just plug in a multi plug power strip with an on/off switch for the backup? Maybe tape some instructions on it for folks that don't know how?

In the summer I can run irrigation hoses from my lake pump. It is useful for the garden with algae and stuff. I can wash my truck and cabins to but can't drink it.
