i confirmed with laredo that the mustang island I-1 well job is moving forward. they've been paid up front costs and are loading up a barge with the materials in the next couple of days and should be starting work next week, according to the person i contacted.

he said they've got the tripod rebuilt and as far as 5 day weather windows go, he estimated one week to install the jacket, and several days for the deck. driving pilings they can do with it jacked up, so the seas won't matter much for that.

oh, one thing i should mention is he said the costs listed by WGAS in the PR were conservative, and they can probably do the job for less. that's good to hear.
