by the way, back here in this reality, religion has a whole lot to do with politics right now -- in case you hadn't noticed, many of our frothing-at-the-mouth good Christianists, including Ricky and more than just a few other good Catholics, are hell-bent on turning this nation into a fascist theocracy -- and the fantastically corrupt and utterly morally bankrupt hierarchy of the great One True Church, from the Pope on down, has been actively working the fascist theocracy side of that battle for years (again, e.g. Kerry and communion)
