Cyclone Power Technologies Participates in House Armed Services Roundtable to Assist Small Businesses
POMPANO BEACH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cyclone Power Technologies Inc. (OTCQB: CYPW), developer of the all-fuel, clean-tech Cyclone Engine, participated yesterday in a select roundtable discussion of the House Armed Services Committee (HASC) Panel on Business Challenges within the Defense Industry. The event was hosted on the campus of Florida Atlantic University by Rep. Allen B. West (R-FL), Rep. Bill Schuster (R-PA), the Chairman of the HASC Panel, and Rep. Sam Graves (R-MO), the Chairman of the House Committee on Small Business.

“Small businesses are the engine for economic growth and job creation”
.Congressman West organized the event to discuss contracting and regulatory issues facing companies working with the Department of Defense, including ways to reduce bureaucratic obstacles and barriers to entry for firms like Cyclone. Approximately 50 executives from small, medium and large defense contractors participated in the discussion, including Lockheed Martin, Sikorsky and Pratt & Whitney/Rocketdyne.

"Small businesses are the engine for economic growth and job creation," stated Congressman West. "We need to make it less complicated for innovative companies like Cyclone Power to work with the largest federal contracting agency, the Department of Defense. By streamlining and reducing waste in government, we can also promote business and help supply our fighting forces with technology that makes them faster, stronger and more productive."

Christopher Nelson, President of Cyclone, commented, “As a small company that recently acquired a prime contract with the Army, and that sees substantial future opportunities to supply technology to all branches of defense, we applaud efforts on Capitol Hill to reduce administrative burdens in the contracting process. This roundtable gave us an opportunity to address some of our specific concerns to leaders who can make a difference. We thank Congressmen West, Schuster and Graves for hosting this very productive and important event."
