The best I can do is offer this list of topics on which Romney's campaign refused to comment ... in the last week alone:
* Whether Mitt Romney objected to Romneycare's contraception requirement on grounds of religious liberty.
* How many earmarks he requested for his state as governor.
* Whether his selection to run Salt Lake City's Winter Olympics was political.
* The role that lobbyists play in his campaign.
* His position on abortion.
* His tax rate.
I can understand a campaign wanting to stay on message. But this isn't staying on message ... it's going into seclusion. If they don't defend their candidate to the media, why should anyone believe they have a candidate worth defending?
