Desiccant Tip

As most of you know, I live in soggy ol' Portland in the great state of Oregon, so I use a hell of lot of desiccants to help 'keep my powder dry'

Homemade Desiccant

I got this tip from good ol' John Connor; it was of three tips in an article titled 2102 On The Cheap from the regular feature Odd Angry Shot in the January 2012 issue. GUNS Magazine. This is excerpt and condensed.

Ingredients:
Fresh Step Crystals Kitty Litter
Tea Bags (without string & tag)
2-Inch wide packing tape

The Fresh Step Crystals Kitty Litter is comprised of silica gel, That’s Desiccant! The Flat Tea Bags are for holding the silica after a slitting an edge of the tea bags, remove the tea, fill with silica and use the tape is to close the tea bag.

That's one hell of a lot of Desiccants for just $21.97, and I believe you will a whole lot more tea bags!

BTW, save the tea and use an old fashion Tea Infuser/Strainer and the savings get even greater, what a deal; I know I be doing all of my desiccants this way from now on.
