last year when the stock hit around $2 it was the good old pump newsletter that was sent out. like a lot of people, some jumped in with the idea per the newsletter that rio tinto was jumping in head first to ampw. research would show that is not how they (rio) operate, rather they might have one of there smaller subsidiaries engage them. to date, not a word. unfortunately many who wanted overnight get rich thoughts may have lost their shirts. as a speculative stock, one should only use discretionary money. anyway, the position of ampw is much like other penney stocks. at the end of the year, they put out their sec filings saying they will not have enough money to operate in the subsequent year, so on and so forth. imo, and in my opinion only, ampw will rise again in the spring. they might not have the quality of coal that will bring top dollar, but the fact remains (according to the press releases) there is coal. current management has zip experience in tjis area and is having to rely on outsourcing data to understand what they have and what the next step is going to be. for me, two options and only two at this point. equity fianancing being one option, and the other is a junior mining company taking a strong position in ampw or buying it outright. the second scenario is my preferred route as te first option might dilute the stock more. all said and done, i am going to wait it out. regards, david
