edc: If I would add another task to my CEO list is fire George and put in a full-time operations guy. This company has spent an inordinate amount of capital on R&D with little to show for it. And he is a lightning-rod for investors - fairly or not.

However, that falls short of believing that is "running" the company and hiring the CEOs. I don't think he has the time or energy.

It is investor ego that thinks George is pulling all the strings. It makes their investment seem SO important. I think it is a simpler argument that nobody is paying attention.

Added: Leases are relatively cheap in a company budget. They can set up a nice office in Boulder for $50k a year. They certainly didn't move out of one Atlanta office to move down the street and pay both leases. I know the new Atlanta lease is a couple grand. That is necessary expense.
