Although any EK bankruptcy filing is POSSIBLE --- it is far from a done deal ---- despite what the irresponsible news media (short covers of massive short positions) would want you to believe.
Just look at the timing of earnings PR and subsequent WSJ bash yesterday to get a real feel for it. But, actually the EK "horror movie" being depicted here is a bit moot.
I can name several but I'll name a few: Chrysler, UAL and my beloved K-Mart stock ---- as companies that were forced into BK and survived to fight another day on the flipside. Certainly, I would prefer to see EK 'not' file ---- but, it's NOT the end of the world.
Further, as Bob Lorsch already spoke to during the last C/C --- we are already working with (pitching to) other vendors outside of EK. It's duly noted in the C/C summary ---- thanks to Tulaz!
"It isn't to evil dictators with a lust for power that Americans have been slowly surrendering their autonomy. It is to well-intentioned authorities who believe sincerely that our freedoms must be circumscribed for our own good." ~ Jeff Jacoby
