Too bad they don't stick around Washington more! LOL
WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) - President Barack Obama's plan to appoint his candidate to run a new consumer watchdog bureau by bypassing Senate approval is an arrogant circumvention of the American people, Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell said Wednesday. "This recess appointment represents a sharp departure from a long-standing precedent that has limited the President to recess appointments only when the Senate is in a recess of 10 days or longer," McConnell said in a statement. Obama plans to announce his plan to recess-appoint former Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray to head the Consumer Financial Protection Agency Wednesday afternoon.
