"even a somewhat educated guess would suffice. I imagine that it will take awhile considering the complexities involved with a new product and the working out the bugs".

*The "educated guess"....To my way of thinking , the micro-reactors are already a reality...they're designed as modular units & can be inter-connected in a series to any size as required ( http://www.micronit.com/footer/technologies/microfluidics/microfluidic-connections/ ) . Have a look at the bottom video from the FlowId link below: ["Color Reaction in a Microreactor"] from one of our (allied) Access2Flow consortium members...if you wait for the video to end, you'll see another vid listed as: "Mixing in a Micronit Microreactor" , which gives a better idea of what these things can do when revved-up ('Micronit' is also an Access2Flow consortium-member as you might recall).

As described; they're called: 'micro-reactors', indicating a small size as well as function. I believe what you'll see in these videos is what our micro-reactors actually look like (or something fairly similar). Looks to me like you could put a 100 of these in an average sized classroom. I've also seen other functional microreactor designs from another consortium-member [FutureChemistry] , and others that are about the same profile as an average 4-pot coffeemaker at your neighborhood cafe...i.e; http://www.futurechemistry.com/ ..&.. http://www.uniqsis.com/?gclid=CIXl2YanzqwCFRLatgodFnZHrQ
*"Working out the bugs"...Exactly how long this might all take is beyond me but from where I sit , the vaste majority of the work has already been accomplished. The tech now appears to be on more of a 'plug-&-play' basis at this point , from what I'm able to determine...perhaps now[?], it's more a matter of waiting for the orders to start coming in (or hopefully, accomodating the orders we already have). This PR would appear to pointedly address (& answer) some of these same questions: http://www.flowid.nl/news/index.html#20110913
