New contract for immigration checkpoint admission control system -
SEOUL, South Korea, Oct. 25, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Clavis Technologies International Co., Ltd. (OTCBB:CTLH.OB - News), a leading provider of RFID-enabled solutions to various industrial markets, today announced that the Company has entered into a contract with The Ministry of Unification (MOU) to perform maintenance of its RFID-based admission control system for incoming and outgoing vehicles at the entrance of Dorasan CIQ (Customs, Immigration and Quarantine).

Dorasan CIQ, located at the southern border of the DMZ (De-Militarized Zone) in South Korea, serves as an Immigration station between South Korea and Kaesong Industrial Complex (KIC), a part of North Korea. The RFID-based admission control system consists of 3 parts; a card issue system, an exit-entry control system and a connect system of RFID data.

Inter-Korean Cooperation District Support Directorate issues RFID cards, 13.56MHz for people and 900MHz for cars in Seoul as part of the card issue system. The Ministry of Justice Republic of Korea (MOJ) inspects people and Korea Customs Service (KCS) inspects cars in Dorasan CIQ as part of the entry-exit control system. They also manage the Tong Tong System of MOU, Immigration system of MOJ and Unipass System of KCS. They share data received from the RFID feeds related to people and cars jointly as part of connect system of RFID data. Clavis Technologies will modify and correct systems failures or errors and improve system functions to keep the system operating normally for the Ministry.

CEO of Clavis Technologies, Mr. Hwan Sup Lee, commented, "We are very pleased and proud to be contracted by The Ministry of Unification to help regulate border control between South Korea and the important Kaesong Industrial Complex in North Korea. The Dorasan CIQ entrance is a very busy interchange which shows the faith and trust that the Ministry has in Clavis's RFID-based admission control system. We aim to continue working with the Ministry on additional projects where our RFID technology can provide value."
