Sycamore to release 'Isle of Dogs'

Edward Sylvan's Sycamore Entertainment Group has entered the distribution game, acquiring its first pic for U.S. release, Tammi Sutton's horror film "Isle of Dogs."
Sycamore will release the film, starring Andrew Howard ("Limitless"), in partnership with DreamFactory Entertainment early next year.

"Isle," written by Sean Hogan and exec produced by Andrea Fellers, nabbed kudos for best thriller at last month's Shriekfest. Story centers on a complex love triangle involving a thief, his wife and her lover.

As a publicly traded company, Sycamore will focus on "hybrid P&A and full service distribution deals," Sylvan said.

Sycamore plans to announce several other acquisitions in the coming weeks.
