Build an Ecosystem Around Ojo Tech . . .

Mark Richards, CIO of LightSquared, did an interview on BigBizShow.com on 9/14 . . . the link is given below.

IMHO, the interview is a mind blower if you put it into the context of LightSquared being used by Tier 2 & 3 CLECs/ILECs and MSO's who want to have their own 4G mobile service as a countervailing force against the big guys. (This theory has been mentioned repeatedly in all the background readings.)

The quote from the inteview by Mark Richards "an ecosystem is being built around this phone (ojo tech)" gains a huge meaning.

To flesh out this scenario: keep in mind that VOX will have VVoIP apps bridging essential platforms before LightSquared goes live, opening the door to providing this service to the CLECS/ILECS that don't want to build the service but buy it from VOX. . . this means nationwide interoperability across multiple platforms.

What are your thoughts? Do you think these guys would be smiling when they advertise a "Coke vs Pepsi" side by side challenge against Skype to win some of the 100's of Millions of Skype VVoIP customers?
