There seems to be mixed emotions about the Utica, I think its promising, but have seen other that didn't feel the same. We shall see.


On a side note, looks like RRC will benefit from this expanded gas line.

A positive industry report has focused attention on pipelines and gas producers in the Marcellus shale gas fields in Pennsylvania.

Weak oil and natural gas prices have held nine of IBD's 10 oil and gas industry groups low in the industry rankings. The exception, the pipeline group, held a No. 33 ranking in Wednesday's IBD.

A Sept. 23 report from analyst Bentek Energy said a new pipeline loop would add capacity of 600,000 Mcf (thousand cubic feet) per day across northern Pennsylvania's stretch of the Marcellus shale starting in November. The pipeline will boost market access for gas producers in the region just as the winter heating season ramps up. Producers within reach of the pipeline include Range Resources (RRC), Chesapeake Energy (CHK) and Cabot Oil & Gas (COG).
