GTX expects to make its first shipments to Aetrex in the third quarter of 2011 and the GPS Smart Shoe is scheduled for consumer release in the third quarter of 2011 as well.


Pre launch, beginning in August, Aetrex will introduce the Code Amber Alertag to its customers by placing a post card discussing the benefits of the Alertag in each of their shoe boxes.

The Code Amber Alertag is a convenient way to provide information about medical conditions, life threatening allergies, or blood type. Health insurance information and other medical history details can also be readily accessible. GTX has also focused on affordability and the service is available for less than $20 a year.

Aetrex currently ships approximately 50,000 pairs a month of wellness shoes specifically designed for people suffering with diabetes. The Code Amber Alertag can offer many people afflicted with diabetes or dementia a simple and effective means of alerting first responders of their condition.
