Texas.gov, the official website of the State of Texas, in partnership with the City of Houston, launched an enhanced version of the City’s online ticket payment service – www.texas.gov/COHTicketPay. In addition to a fresh design and plain language content, the online service is now mobile-friendly in response to the pervasive use of mobile devices in today’s society.
The online service guides users through a simple, three-step process to pay tickets online or via a mobile device, such as an iPhone or Android:
•Find your ticket using the ticket number and either your last name or offense date,
•Select the offenses you want to pay, and
•Securely make your payment.
Users also have the option of receiving a confirmation email that contains key transaction details.
City of Houston ticket recipients still have the option of using a desktop computer to pay their fines; and other offline methods, such as payment by mail and in-person at the Municipal Courts Building, are available as well.
If a ticket payment isn’t the only driving business you need to take care of, the Texas.gov/Driver page offers a quick, convenient, and fuel-efficient way to complete other driver-related tasks, including Driver License Renewal, Vehicle Registration Renewal, Driver Record Orders, and much more.
Users can also access Texas.gov on-the-go with iPhone and Android mobile applications. In addition, Texas.gov recently redesigned two other popular services for improved mobile usage - Nursing License Renewals and Fund for Veterans Assistance online donations. And, several more mobile-friendly services are coming soon from the State’s official website.
