You: Your Bible was codified by a Pagan Roman Emperor and a council of Roman Bishops trying to preserve the empire and their political control.

Me: MY BIBLE? lol, and which Bible do you presume I use?


You: The 2000 year history of the church has been more about political control than it has been about Truth.

Me: You are confusing God with man in your statement. People run to this argument when they don't have anything else to support their position.


You: Truth is eternal, it does not change, it does not stand on any dogma or doctrine. Truth transcends all temporal boundaries; time, culture, and distance. To be born in Spirit all you have to do is look within and follow the Truth and the One who is the source of that Truth.

Me: Jeremiah 17:9 says, "the heart is deceitful above all, and being incurable, who can understand him?" Accordingly, we cannot look within to find truth as our hearts are deceitful.
