I would never laugh at the sincere expression of anyone' understanding of Spirit. I don't believe Yeshua would either. Read the passage about the Samaritan woman at the well, he never told her her religion was wrong, he only told her:
"But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him." John 4:23
