PG&E seem to have a history of legal problems ..

1996 .. Chromium 6 (hexavalent chromium) is especially dangerous to the lungs and since the 1920s
has been known to be a cancer-causing chemical Brockovich proved that PG & E, the world's largest
utility company, continuously used it for 40 years even though they knew it was harming the people.

In 1996, Brockovich and her boss, Ed Masry, spearheaded a direct action lawsuit against PG & E and won the
largest legal settlement in U.S. history, which paid more than $333 million in damages to more than 600 residents.

Pacific Gas & Electric Co. could have prevented the death of 20-year-old Jessica Morales, one of eight people who died
in the inferno from the San Bruno gas pipeline explosion, according to a lawsuit filed Wednesday by the woman’s parents.
