TYTAN agreement with the Port of Kalama + MAP

-June 22 2011 TYTAN is pleased to announce that it worked with the Port of Kalama

TYTAN is pleased to Announce that it worked with the Port of Kalama on an agreement that enables Tytan to unload its tractors within 1 mile of Tytan's facility. Mark Leonard says; "This puts Tytan in a position no other importer has available" and "this amounts to a 20-25% advantage over any other Tractor importer." Previously, Tytan's tractors arrived per container in Seattle. Once in Kalama the tractors were unloaded, unpacked from their crates and had to be assembled, which amounted to huge costs.
Now Tytan can ship tractors with front loaders installed and /or tillers on the rear 3pt etc, that can be driven off the Ships at this special ramped dock, owned by the Port of Kalama. The Port of Kalama is the location where all grains from the Western half of the USA are shipped to by rail and then loaded on ships from all over the World. Kalama has its own Customs offices for the Grain shipments and that also will be a huge benefit for Tytan.

Look at all the companies that use this dock. From farmers, loggers, and construction companies.
They will have to pass all of the TYTN equipment when they go to the dock, since the dock will also be used as the storage center. Seeing this equipment, on a constant bases, starts to put thoughts in the back of your head. What do you think is going to happen when it is time for those companies to upgrade there equipment? Remember Mark said the best advertisment is from word of mouth. This is big news on a marketing stand point as well as a cost savings stand point.

• The Port is approximately seven miles long.
• Between 90,000 and 100,000 rail cars arrive at Port of Kalama each year.
• Between 8 and 11 million TONS (not bushels) of grain are exported from Port of Kalama
each year. (These are short tons = 2,000 lbs)
• The Cenex Harvest States grain elevator (one of two grain facilities at Port of Kalama)
receives approximately 25,000 cars per year carrying soybeans, wheat, and beet pulp
pellets. The products come from most of the northern states (Oregon, Washington,
Idaho, Montana, and North Dakota) and are exported to mostly Pacific Rim countries.

• Approximately 830 employees are employed by businesses on the port.
• The Port choose not to collect any property tax, therefore has no Tax Levy Revenue.
