Applications Overview
At 110 lumens per watt, SavWatt LED eco-lighting systems guarantee the highest LED output available.
SavWatt energy and cost saving solutions can be calculated for any municipal, industrial or commercial application. The economic benefits of the switching to SavWatt LED street lights is highly site-specific. We examine all factors to determine energy efficiency including thermal effects, electric demand (kW) and consumption (kWh) rates.
Our engineers will analyze current lighting expenditures and the cost of replacing traditional lighting with a Savwatt LED eco-lighting system. Our proposed solutions typically cut energy consumption by as much as 75% that result in an almost immediate return on investment. The saved resources can then be redirected into other areas of budgetary concern.

SAVW Update to shareholders 5/20/11

SavWatt has formed a European Subsidiary which will be based in the UK, SavWatt Europe, Inc. managed by Miller Mays and Javier Herrero. SavWatt Europe will market SavWatt Energy Efficient LED Light Bulbs and Fixtures in the European community. Europeans are far more progressive on LEDs and therefore businesses, institutions, and homes are several years ahead of the U.S. in using clean energy and are replacing incandescent bulbs with LEDs at a faster pace. The use of Carbon Credits makes the European Community a prime market for SavWatt.
SavWatt has signed partnerships and distributions agreement with two Korean companies, KEC Enercom (www.koreaenercom.com) and Solarluce (www.solarluce.com) for distribution of their LED products. Both companies are leaders in Korea with government backing. These international agreements will greatly broaden SavWatt product lines which will in turn provide SavWatt distributors an extensive product line for their offering. Both Companies' products will be featured in the upcoming Lightfair to be held May 17-19 in Philadelphia.
SavWatt's Baltimore Eco Hub, a 21,000 square foot facility is under construction with a target completion date of June 10. A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for June 23, 2011 where we are anticipating several Maryland dignitaries to attend. The facility will house a model assembly and quality control center, university center, and showroom.
SavWatt will attend Lightfair International in Philadelphia on May 17th - May 19th, our booth number is #661. SavWatt will showcase our Eco-Pole and Waterproof Hex Lamp products. All SavWatt staff and distributors will be attending, including SavWatt overseas partners. This international event will mark the official launch of SavWatt and its product line. Lightfair International is the world's largest annual architectural and commercial lighting trade show and conference. It blends continuing education courses with innovative products ranging from high-end design to cutting-edge technology.
SavWatt employee base now consists of 23 personnel and is increasing daily.

MANAGEMENT TEAM

Michael F. Haug, Chief Executive Officer
As an experienced insurance and financial representative since 1993, Michael has worked for well known companies such as Liberty Mutual, John Hancock, and AIG. He also formed his own insurance agencies called Financial Solutions in 1999 and Z-Group International in 2007. In 2007 Michael became heavily involved in commercial lighting, working as consultant to Global Green Works and later AEI lighting.


A graduate of The University of Baltimore in 1990 in Business Administration, Michael has always had a passion for businesses to improve their Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED). His motivation and mission in life has been green projects and energy efficient lighting.


Michael is proud to bring lighting education to the forefront. He has helped municipalities, private enterprises, and schools save money and energy by increasing their awareness of energy efficient lighting. Michael also has been affiliated with many LEED programs to stay on top of the ever changing energy environment. This diversification has helped propel Michael to the top of the financial and energy lighting work place.

Samuel Abecassis, Vice President of Product Development
Sam is one of the Founders of SavWatt USA, Inc. He has been engaged with international business for more than 20 years. From 1984 through 2004, he was the owner and CEO of Technology Services. He was also Head of Production for Summit Technologies in El Paso, at which he was responsible for $800 million of production per year from factories throughout the world. From 2006 to 2007, he started a company whose focus was saving energy in the LED sector.


He earned his business degree from Rutgers University and is widely regarded as an entrepreneur. Sam and his partners supervised financing and support in development throughout his career in the electronic industry. His contacts throughout the world provide valuable introductions to international markets. Mr. Abecassis will be responsible for the overall management of the Company and the development of an international network of distributors. He will also serve in overseeing research and development of all future products along with SavWatt’s chief engineers.

Martin Gerber, Vice President of Marketing
Marty is a major shareholder and founder of the company. His background has focused on developing start-up companies involved with cutting-edge new technologies and spans over 30 years in the electronic and electrical sectors. He was a critical part of the deployment of the CFL lighting market. He has significant experience importing products from Asia and is conversant with all facets of management, sales, distribution, marketing, operations and finance. Before joining SavWatt, Marty founded his own company, MG&A, Inc. and has been supplying small to medium sized companies in a variety of industry sectors with sales and marketing strategies. He studied engineering at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn and business, finance and retail at New York University.

Alex Wenger, Vice President of Engineering
Alex studied Electrical Engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology. He has extensive experience in both hardware and software design, including electronic countermeasures controllers, test equipment for missile systems, E-2 Avionics, submarine transmitters, and military field telephone systems. Alex was for 4 years Vice President of Engineering for Bruno-New York Industries, Inc., a military weaponry specialist firm.

Ken Kovalchik, Sales Director
Ken brings to SavWatt a diverse background in construction, project management and urban planning. As an experienced urban planner since 2001, Ken has worked for agencies such as the State of New York, Town of Avon, Colorado and Clark County, Nevada. While at these agencies he worked closely with engineers, architects, general contractors and property owners on complex, large-scale residential and commercial developments. He has also worked on countless land use plan updates, community master plans and recreation plans. Prior to 2000, Ken lived in a small ski resort community in Colorado and worked in the residential construction industry for many years. It was during this time he became aware of and interested in many of the emerging energy efficient products/technology in the building industry.


A graduate of the State University of New York (SUNY) Plattsburgh in 1994 with a bachelor’s degree in Geography and from the University at Albany (SUNY) in 2002 with a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning (concentration in environmental planning), Ken has a passion for sustainable development, renewable energy, energy efficient building techniques and improving the relationship between the built environment and natural environment.


Over the years Ken has obtained strong skills in site design, reviewing developments for local land use approval, establishing a strong network of individuals in the residential, commercial and industrial development community and is excited to bring his knowledge of and contacts in the building industry to SavWatt.
