So about all this supposed due diligence going on. It seems to be a favorite term of people who are trying to shout down those that are actually critically looking at an investment. The irony is, due diligence is supposed to be born of skepticism about an investment. You need to go into any risky investment looking for the soft spots, the weak links, and in many cases the out & out distortions or even lies.

There is no need for me to go into a lengthy recounting of all the glaring problems with the claims made and all the projects that never took off here. I've only looked into this thing for a couple weeks and I'm out. I hoped this might be a possible lottery ticket - bad odds, but big returns. But now after all I've learned and the feedback from friends in telecom, this isn't even a lottery ticket.

Before you beat up my sources as lowly field guys and regional level managers, know this: these are actual people I know and trust. I know what they actually do for a living and I know they're not full of doodoo. All the feedback came back in a very similar fashion: walk away from this.

Here is a choice example, from a guy who has been at Lucent, T-Mobile and now a multi-billion dollar infrastructure developer. His role is to manage the roll-out sites of the very things that this group claims to be doing, except with current tech and with real established companies and teams.

Here was our email back&forth:
me:
Hey buddy, I'm looking into an investment related to your field and wanted an expert eye. Have you heard of Val Westergard/Imperial Wireless/MediaG3/Mesh Global or Wytec? If not, no biggie. They're in Boise, for now, I guess. Can you check out these project pics and tell me what you see? Supporting information is across the website as well.

g_v:
LOL, what service do they claim to provide? I looked at those pics and none of that equipment offers wireless acess points for anything modern. The first pic is a fiber distribution panel in a 19" rack, the 2nd is an empty 19" rack in a co-location cage, the third is a cat5 patch panel in a suspended ceiling and the antenna pics are some haggard ******** (BS), looks like some old land mobile radio directional antenna.

Oh, and some really small microwave antennas. Basically a hodgepodge of various telecom stuff. I'd say he's trying to fool people into believing he has a real operation going.

me:
lol. That's what I was afraid of. Didn't want to poison the well up front. Sorry for the mystery. Thanks for your time.

Oh and this just in!
g_v:
That media G site basically says nothing. It's all a bunch of BS about stuff that already exists from a multitude of other vendors, but doesn't explain why they're better than the competition.

------------------

So I have what I need to walk away. You won't hear from me again. And before you call BS on this post, demand that Val/Mesh/China/Whomever tell you what this stuff really is. Specifically. And make them prove the rollout is happening in the stages they claim. PHYSICALLY happening. Demand proof, not hearsay, pictures of Boise or copy&paste from journals.

It's your money. Protect it.
