FORT LAUDERDALE, FL Nearly nineteen months after executing a Letter of Intent with Radix Marine, Inc. that set forth the possibility of a teaming agreement between Maritime Defense Systems International, LLC and Radix Marine, Inc. MDSI has completed an exhaustive campaign of market research and product comparison with all other possible boats for the MDSI maritime security program. MDSI has concluded that the Radix Challenger GB-12 is the best of all of the candidates for the job. Maritime Defense Systems International, LLC is proud to announce that they have executed an Exclusive Marketing Agreement with Radix Marine.

The parameters that were used in the comparisons included: Speed, maneuverability, operational range, survivability, payload, operational depth, number of crew/passengers, time on station and the ability to quickly change-out the nine mission modules including MDSI’s Gun/FLIR module and the Side-Scanning Sonar Module.

All of the above parameters are extremely important for the MDSI program. The MDSI program encompasses many aspects of maritime security. Among those aspects are piracy, narco-trafficking/terrorism, port security, oil platform security and Small Vessel Threat Assessment. The GB-12 is superior to all others for all of these requirements.

MDSI is already in discussions with five countries, for a total of 34 GB-12 vessels, who have expressed interest in, not only the GB-12 but also in the full security package. MDSI looks forward to the first contract to provide the full Port Security program which will include the GB-12.

Both MDSI President, Mike Gruber, and Chief Operating Officer, Tim Sheridan, are enthusiastic about the future of the program. Even countries with limited resources, whose maritime security has an impact on US National Security, have the support of the US Navy IPO (International Programs Office). This is like a Foreign Military Sales program wherein the US Gov. pays for the equipment. The GB-12 is on a roll.



RADIX MARINE & M.D.S.I. SIGN AN EXCLUSIVE MARKETING AGREEMENT

We are pleased to announce that today we signed an exclusive marketing agreement with MDSI for marketing of our GB series of vessels worldwide. Over the last 4 weeks, Tim Sheridan has worked out of the Yakima Office of Radix Marine. Over this period of time, it became clearly apparent that MDSI has the best global relationships for the marketing of our vessels globally. With MDSI global relationships and the unbeatable integrity of the GB design, we feel it makes a marketing powerhouse for today's demanding patrol craft marketplace.

MDSI will market the GB series of craft with several application modules including their proprietary “Anti Piracy System” that is a scaled down version of the systems for commercial vessel applications. MDSI will have exclusive marketing rights for our products and will only sell Radix GB series for any vessels up to 20 meters in length.

We have said for many years that the GB Series is the best delivery platform available for multiple applications in the small patrol craft market. We believe that MDSI recognizes this advantage with the quick change modular system. This allows the operator of the vessel to quickly change the module creating 9 boats in one.
