Onemanband didn't say all the programs being introduced at the meetings or through speakers (aka salesmen) on the calls were "scams". Here is his post

Only a small handful of people still claim Petro not a scam. But, many of those really know it is, but continue to tell people it is not in order to continue to profit off the victims. To everyone else, including the DOJ, it is a scam. A quite obvious one to boot.

Starpower used the word "scams" in one of her replies that put a twist and they may or may not be? onemanband is saying these people want the calls and meetings to continue so they can sell their "wares" but "buyer be ware" I know of a scam that got people to buy trusts then later got them to invest in their scam investments and spent the money on them selves,,, till they got caught!
Most people that were contacted first given Teddi Berkowitz e-mail addy to op in for "educational workshops" She was touted several times by Owen on the calls. You must not have opted in? Of course none of the people who spoke on Petros calls were "officially sanctioned" by Petro Corp they were just fellow shareholders! She was the main "middleman" for introducing different "speakers" aka salesmen. Here are just a few of her e-mails:

Hi All PIF Shareholders,

As promised, we are preparing to start some educational workshops in preparation for the extraordinary financial situation in which we will find ourselves shortly. The topic of each workshop will not be in any particular order. It will be based on the availability of the particular speaker we choose.

The first session will feature an expert who has provided annuity seminars to employees of businesses and other groups.We are not endorsing any particular company or encouraging shareholders to use the speaker's company for their financial needs. This is strictly to prepare you for your financial decision making. Remember, IF you do NOT know how to Protect your money ...then you will be "gifting" a big

So don't deny there were several off shoots of people selling things to any Petro shareholder they could entice to listen to them with Owens "blessing"
What ever happened to :

Petro International Division = David Waltzer and Brian Koslow (as mentioned by Owen Hawkins on the May 27, 2010 conference call) - talked about opportunities in Panama to generate share holder value - not a registered business entity yet. Brian Koslow wrote book "365 ways to become a millionaire"

The bottom line is that there were a lot of "Speakers" selling whatever they could to the "sheeple" What other legitimate corporation does this? You and your group are a part of who ever sold you your shares group and may have even earned some free gifted shares by selling to you illegally!
Hope your group makes a killing in the ForeX and you re-coup your losses by getting involved in Petros "Private Placement" fraud.
