The bill as passed gives a patent to the first inventor to file rather than the actual first inventor so that big business can more easily steal inventions. It allows big business to file in its own name without consulting with the inventor, so big business can more easily steal inventions. It raises the cost of patent applications and issued patents by allowing unlimited expensive challenges and submissions so the small inventor cannot play and big business can more easily steal inventions. etc., etc., etc. This vote is proof that big business owns the Senate and the small guy get cheated. American ingenuity will never be the same after this. The great inventors recognize the problems of this bill. And to think, Gary Locke and David Kappos touted this as helping spur innovation. It gives them a bigger budget, that's why they support it. They have been bought by big business. A sad day for America. A serious nail, perhaps the fatal one, in the coffin of the American economy, which will have to work that much harder to attempt to break out of that coffin to resurrect itself. Shameful lack of consideration for the small inventors that might otherwise create the jobs we need.
