fastlizzy, Georgia? .. it's the theocracy horde .. Franklin is one of those .. big time .. have had these
hanging on tab since you posted yours .. HAVE to put t he first in the open there is so much in it ..

Bobby Franklin ..

Bobby Franklin is a member of the House of Representatives in the U.S. state of Georgia. Franklin is a Republican representing District 43, which encompasses parts of northern Cobb County. His official biography on the Georgia General Assembly's website reads:

“Representative Franklin has been called ‘the conscience of the Republican Caucus’ because he
believes that civil government should return to its biblically and constitutionally defined role.”

Legislative History

Franklin is the former Chairman of the House Legislative & Congressional
Reapportionment Committee. He was first elected to the Georgia House in 1996.

Franklin proposed a measure that would prohibit all abortions in Georgia. The Marietta Republican voted "No" against bill HCS HB 147: Pre-Abortion Sonograms that passed the House on 19 March 2007 (116 - 54).

Sponsored by Representative Franklin and dropped in the House Hopper on February 13, 2009, House Bill 430, the "Constitutional Tender Act", aims to make gold and silver the only legal tender for payment of debts in the state of Georgia pursuant to Article I, Section 10 of the U.S. Constitution. Franklin maintains that all fifty U.S. states are in violation of this Constitutional stipulation as paper and electronic bank notes (Federal Reserve Accounting Unit Dollars) are used nearly exclusively as tender. On February 17, 2009, Representative Franklin introduced House Bill 466 that would tax the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta as it would any other privately owned bank in the state of Georgia.

Franklin has sought to abolish Georgia's Road and Tollway Authority and Department of Health and Human Services. Franklin is an opponent of public schools, stating on his weekly blog that, "The State Has No Jurisdiction To Educate Our Children — Period!" Rep. Franklin commented that public schools are a "sinking ship" and he believes that private and home schooling are a better alternative for Georgia.

In 2011 he proposed, in House Bill 14, to amend Georgia state criminal code so that the term “rape accuser” be substituted for the phrase “rape victim” unless there is a conviction; the bill infuriated victims' advocates. In House Bill 1, a bill Franklin proposed that would outlaw abortion, a provision is included that would require that every "spontaneous fetal death" have its cause investigated by the "proper investigating official."

In January 2011, Franklin sponsored a bill that would do away with driver's licenses in the State of Georgia. Franklin stated that the licenses represented “oppressive times” and “licensing of drivers cannot be required of free people, because taking on the restrictions of a license requires the surrender of an inalienable right.” He further stated that the freedom of movement by operating an automobile should be open to all Americans, regardless of age or driving skills. He cemented these beliefs by noting that he does not object to 12 year old children driving cars on Georgia Highways.

Franklin is a fierce opponent of abortion and gay rights. Franklin holds that America has strayed from its Christian past and the country needs to be changed into a Christian nation. Franklin believes that legislation that is in direct opposition to God's word will bring about the wrath of God. In 2010, Franklin stated, "Islamic terrorism is not the greatest threat facing America. God is." Franklin claims that President George W. Bush "praises the gods of pagan religions."

Personal Life

Representative Franklin is a graduate of Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Ga., where he received a degree in Biblical studies and business administration.[1] He and his wife, Pat, have been married for over 27 years. They have three children, and are active members of Chalcedon Presbyterian Church in Cumming, Georgia. .. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bobby_Franklin ..

Pastor Joe Morecraft III: Godless Conservatism Has Failed; Time For Christians To Act Like Christians, Proclaim Christ’s Lordship Over Politics, Too

Share

Pastor Joe Morecraft III says the “most important question” a candidate for a God-ordained civil government office can be asked is: “What is the source of law? And this is the most important question because the answer to it will reveal who the candidate’s God is.”

Pastor Morecraft, Pastor of the Chalcedon Presbyterian Church in Cumming, Georgia, Chalcedon.org .. http://www.chalcedon.org/ .. made his remarks at the “Institute on the Constitution’s” September “First Friday” event in an address titled “God And Politics” — a DVD of which will be available for sale in early October. To place an order call, please, “Institute On the Constitution” at 866-730-9796 or email JLof@aol.com. [his email link is inside] ..

Pastor Morecraft also made the following points:

Godless, “conservative humanism” is “just as devastating to this country as liberal humanism.” He
added that “the time is over” for this kind of secular conservatism saying: “It has stopped nothing!”

Emphasizing the importance of “Christianizing Christians,” he said Christians must start
acting like Christians first. This, he said would anger liberals and conservatives.

Civil government is created by God. “Government’s power does not come from the
people
, he said. “It comes from God! And God is the source of political power, too!

Pastor Morecraft said he also asks candidates: “If you are elected, how are you going to represent the crown rights of King Jesus?” His point being that Jesus — being the King of kings, Lord of lords; the One Who has all power in Heaven, on earth — is also the Ruler of civil government and politics.

Pastor Morecraft was given “The Reverend John Peter Gabriel Muhlenberg Award” named in honor
of The Reverend John Peter Gabriel Muhlenberg (1746-1807). The award plaque reads re: Rev. Muhlenberg:

“Who in addition to his call to the ministry, rose to become one of the highest ranking officers of the American Revolution and a Congressman, reminding all he touched that if they failed to get involved to protect their liberties, there would be no liberties left to protect.”

Joseph C. Morecraft, III, is a preacher of the gospel and a noted lecturer on contemporary political and historical trends in the United States and world at large. In 1986, he was a candidate for the US Congress in the 7th Congressional District of Georgia. Born on October 23, 1944, he is a native of Madison, West Virginia.

He is married to the former Rebecca Belcher of Haysi, Virginia, who is a writer and an accomplished singer. They are the parents of four children and have eight grandchildren.

Dr. Morecraft was ordained by the Presbyterian Church in the United States in 1969, and is presently an ordained minister in the Reformed Presbyterian Church in the United States. He has pastored churches in Virginia, Tennessee and Georgia. He is the founding pastor of Chalcedon Presbyterian Church (RPCUS) located near Atlanta, Georgia, where he has ministered for over thirty-six years, and in that position has assisted in the planting of other churches in the Atlanta area. He frequently preaches and lectures at seminars and conferences around the nation and abroad such as the Witherspoon School of Law and Public Policy and several Faith and Freedom tours sponsored by Vision Forum .

Dr. Morecraft has addressed civic, medical, military, political, religious and educational groups in such places as Scotland, England, Germany, El Salvador, South Africa, Cypress, Ukraine, Argentina, Paraguay, Chile and Ecuador. He has authored numerous articles and spoken on national defense, international relations, constitutionalism and various economic and social issues.
