Back last September, I wrote an article about AlphaTrade, and the extraordinary promotion that took place during the summer:

http://www.stockwatch.com/News/Item.aspx?bid=U-s0132533-U:APTD-20100924&symbol=APTD&news_region=U

These are my notes from that time. As you can see, a lot has changed:

Ox of Wall Street

7/29/2010

$565,000 from White Frog Investments Ltd “to perform promotional and advertising services for a one week profile of AlphaTrade.com, which services include the issuance of this release and the other opinions that we release concerning APTD”.

Ox of Wall Street is owned by OTC Solutions, 1225 19th Street NW, Suite 300, DC 20036.

Domain: created 10 July 2009. Anonymous registration.

Pennypic.com

7/29/2010

$475,000: PennyPic received four hundred seventy five thousand dollars and signed a one year contract from a non affiliate third party white frog investments for online advertising and marketing of Alpha Trade.

Domain: created 6 May 2008. Owned by Jay Fung. Address in Sunnyvale CA. Fung owns “about” 128 other domains, so good luck.

Pennypic.com is obviously run by the same people who run InsaneStocks.com. The format is similar, and the content of the “blog” is identical. Neither features specific stocks on its website; you have to sign up for the alerts for that.

The address of InsaneStocks is 900 North Federal Highway, Boca Raton FL 33432 (But in its domain registration, it’s given as Royal Palm Way, Boca Raton 33432.) Domain created 3 April 2009. Not an anonymous registration, but the administrator is “Stocks, Insane”.

KillerPennyStocks.com

7/29/2010

$565,000 from White Frog Investments “to perform promotional and advertising services for a one week profile of AlphaTrade.com, which services include the issuance of this release and the other opinions that we release concerning APTD”.

Owned by OTC Solutions.

Domain: created 10 November 2009. Anonymous registration.

StocksGoneWild.com

7/29/2010

Sent out email; don’t know what the compensation was.

Domain: created 24 July 2004. Anonymous registration.

PennyStockAlley.com (thepennystockpicks.com)

7/30/2010

$565,000 from White Frog, “to perform promotional and advertising services for a one week profile of AlphaTrade.com, which services include the issuance of this release and other opinions that we release conscerning APTD”.

Penny Stock Alley is owned by OTC Solutions.

Domain: created 3 September 2009. Anonymous registration.

[Thepennystockpicks.com is not an anonymous registration; at least not entirely anonymous. It goes to Resultz Media Group Corp in Windsor Ont. Contact is Aaron Peterson.]

ExplicitPennyPicks.com

Date unknown, but probably 31 July

$565,000 from White Frog, “too perform promotional and advertising services for a one week profile of AlphaTrade.com, which services include the issuance of this release and other opinions that we release conscerning APTD”.

Domain: created 13 February 2010. Anonymous registration.

GetHotStockPicks.com

7/31/2010

Can’t even get the disclaimer right: InsaneStocks.com has been Compensated four hundred and seventy five thousand dollars and signed a one week contract with a third party non affiliate white frog investments for advertising and marketing of heli electronics corp.

Says the message was sent by InsaneStocks, 900 North Federal Highway, Boca Raton FL 33432

OTC Solutions LLC

Website: http://otcsolutionsllc.com/

Created in September 2007. Anonymous domain registration.

Phone: 301 215-7813. It seems to be a land line in Chevy Chase MD.

"White Frog Investments", which has no website, gave $565K to Ox of Wall Street, Killer Penny Stocks, Penny Stock Alley, and Free Investment Report. I assume that what this really means is that White Frog made ONE payment of $565K to OTC Solutions Ltd, which owns all four newsletters.

If White Frog is Nguyen, what's White Frog doing acting as a "third party" to Ox of Wall Street and the other three? Ox, at least, is his site; I assume the others are as well. So... Is Nguyen also OTC Solutions Ltd? OTC Solutions has a phone number that goes to a landline in Chevy Chase MD.

Then anonymous third parties paid $200K to Titan Stocks, Monsterstox, StockPickss, and Stock Pick Trading. Titan is Nguyen's. All but StockPickss use the same template and have an identically worded disclaimer; so it seems logical to assume they're owned by the same person, who would be Nguyen. But... How much money really changed hands, if any? Was there only one payment of $200K, or none?

Or is there some mysterious person behind Nguyen? Whether there is or not, who paid the original $565K to White Frog in the first place?

And then we have PennyPic. They seem to be unrelated to Nguyen, but got $475K from White Frog "and signed a one year contract...for online advertising and marketing of Alpha Trade".

How much was really paid out for this promo? $1,040,000? Or more?

$565K went from Mystery Client to White Frog to OTC Solutions. OTC Solutions then distributed (or pretended to distribute) that money to Ox of Wall Street, Killer Penny Stocks, Penny Stock Alley, and Free Investment Report, all of whom disclosed the entire amount. Then someone (one or more of the second tier companies?) distributed (or pretended to distribute) $200K to Titan, Monsterstox, Stock Pickss, and Stock Pick Trading (all Nguyen newsletters). HELLO?? How much of the original $565K was actually given to DIFFERENT people? And how on earth would you keep books on a series of transactions like this? Who's paying how much in taxes?

Then separately (it seems) Mystery Client gave $475K to White Frog, who gave some or all of it to Pennypic. Pennypic does not appear to be an OTC Solutions company. If Pennypic farmed out some of what they got to others, they don't say so.

And finally someone paid Stock Market News Alert $30K for a "profile". That site's been around since 2003 and doesn't seem to have anything to do with the others.
