In 1992, Cobalis acquired the US patent for the use of cyanocobalamin as an effective method of reducing immunoglobulin (IgE) levels in humans. The Company also, in 2001, received patent approval for using cyanocobalamin for the treatment of allergic disease (allergies, asthma, etc.), via a wide variety of delivery mechanisms.
