dbbeer, ALL that's pretty much the speed in which most work. With this style of trading you have a few options.
Place an L2 below it, then type in each symbol. If your a peck peck typist you're pretty much screwed... lol <kidding> but it is a huge advantage if you can. The biggest thing is too focus on that, so that in a few hours you'll begin to realize those that come up frequently.
It takes come getting use too going from the activities bar to the L2 screen, typing it in, reading it, then if it's worth it, moving it to the last sale scree, scanning that, all in about 15sec. Sometimes you'll L2 it, then realize you don't need to Last Sale, and move onto the 10day, or ihub-data, then 10day. It's like surgery, you need to get your hands deep into it, stay there to learn the ropes.
I gave an example in the ibox to keep typing in the symbols, run through the entire method, practice, practice....
On the screen shot link you'll also see several images of how I've set up my tabs, also very very important for speed. We're not talking about buying Coke or Google... lol so speed wins, anything below a 9.5 on a scale to 10 loses in day trading. :)

Others that read this, do not assume I'm buying anything I post. Very seldom does anyone post they are buying something, just not cool.

That 10 every 3 to 5 sec's is about right. I sometimes see 200 symbols tick, tick, before I see one I'll L2.
Making it more plan, that's why the tabs are critical. Something else that helps is to have a favorite page that only has the most important stuff you need to trade with. I have one tab open for favorites, in it has
Shell RM Merger Sites
Floats
Bankruptcy Plays
OTC/Pink Material Events
Reverse Mergers
Shell Stock and Reverse Mergers
I only have 6 favorites on that page making it easy to click, then refresh.
Moving in and out of your tabs, checking this, checking that, makes a fun game out of it all the while your clicking back to the Activities Bar quickly glancing to see if something new is popping up.
