If Fox News, Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh were truly opposed to expanded government power, where were they when George Bush and Dick Cheney were expanding federal power in virtually every realm, driving up the national debt to unprecedented proportions, destroying middle-class economic security in order to benefit the wealthiest, and generally ensuring government intrusion into every aspect of people's lives? They were supporting it and cheering it on. That's what gives the lie to their pretense of "small-government" rhetoric. Guess what? The hammer and the sickle are symbols of the working class. Long before the industrial revolution we were an agrarian society. The working class were farmers, builders and laborers. It was this class of worker who revolted against the monarchy in France and Russia. Just as in America our ancestors revolted against the monarchy of England.

Don't tell me Glen Beck does not incite anger and violence .. in fact he has so much he even felt he had to encourage his supporters not to be violent AND to be respectful to the president of the United?? States .. lolol .. it's so funny to see the mad haters about, who adore Beck yet ignore his suggestion that they show respect to their president ..

I certainly oppose nearly all Beck's beliefs and also at times question his method of expression. This is particularly true when Beck makes bold claims like the Obama "racist" statement. Ultimately however, Beck and his supporters can make their claims using free speech and his opponents, like me, can counter his claims with our free speech. All of this back and forth is part of a democracy and in the end hopefully reason prevails. Violence, on the other hand, only begets more violence and the destruction of the Democratic process. So once more I say kudos to Glenn Beck this time for these remarks. Now stay tuned for my next post in which I prove Beck wrong on health care, Cash for Clunkers, or whatever other topic he expounds upon for the day. ..
