I asked him and he said, "absolutely". My last comment was simply my recollection at thinking he was reassuring me that this was not a wild goose chase...meaning that there would be money for us...but without him committing to anything concrete.

I believed then as I do now, that he would not have taken this case on if it were not "winnable". I am quite sure that his reputation garners him plenty of cases and the last thing he wants or needs is a very high visibility case that he loses based on poor due diligence on his part.

Having said all this...I believe more in this case based on all of the various factors (some written here, some witnessed in court) than on any one conversation, etc. Of course, the DD on this board is astonishing and unparalleled.
