This is were it gets fun. I do know the upcoming sweeping changes on Federal DOT and FMCSA laws, regulations and see this company having an economical product for small fleets to one owners to abide by the new laws.
The new laws are requiring hire Safety standards and also involving using technology to make sure logging is done correctly.
It will be standard business on over 25% of the fleets to have these added as other competitors will in there fleets by 2012.
Further the DOT is pushing to have these GPS Tracking units in all trucks by 2015.
This is the Number 1 wish on the DOT wish-list now for many years. It is the time now it will go through.
I drive over the road and have one of the highest safety ratings in a fleet of 300.
Safety to me is not through deception and cheating of the logs. This product and others like this will put this to an end now.
I feel it will help level the playing field for those that have Ethics in the work Place and those that cheat for more miles and money.
I also see these as ending the ever growing Hijacking of Truck in the US which now is in the tens of billions.
As you go over the details you will see how this company will help reduce cost through GPS tracking and routing for deliveries. They also have the capabilities of Geo Fencing and communication in emergencies to help reduce cost. Tracking of vehicles for small to large trucking fleets is the main focus of the FMS products.
Using the FMS Solution, GPS position information is recorded for real-time location or later retrieval (when returned to cell network range) and then communicated using existing digital cell phone networks such as GSM or CDMA.

Fleet Management System (FMS)
Tracking of vehicles for small to large trucking fleets is the main focus of the FMS products.
Using the FMS Solution, GPS position information is recorded for real-time location or later retrieval (when returned to cell network range) and then communicated using existing digital cell phone networks such as GSM or CDMA.
This information is then mapped against digital mapping software or satellite imagery for real-time status and location of the vehicle or assets.

NavStar has developed and is manufacturing a line of Location Based Service (LBS) products, primarily focusing on Fleet Management Systems (FMS), Stolen Vehicle Recovery (SVR), security and risk mitigation service solutions.
