Body Oil Stained Chair Testimonial

A shareholder/user forwarded me a testimonial to post. For privacy reasons I decided to block the kids faces since that's not suppose to be the focus anyways - yea they were cute.

--------------------

Back in January I took some pictures of my Grandchildren when they were visiting at my house. After downloading the pictures I was somewhere between amazed and embarrassed to see how dirty my recliner was. Over the years my son would come in from baseball practice hot and sweaty and sit in the chair to chill awhile. Then when my wife got sick, and was going through chemo treatments that chair pretty much became her bed for about a year when we were home. During this time she would be very sick and constantly sweating off a fever. I was amazed how deeply the body oils had stained the upholstery and I didn't even notice it, and embarrassed that I hadn't recognized it. In fact, so embarrassed I never shared the pictures I had taken with other family members.

After seeing the pictures I went in the kitchen and got some Woolite Fabric and Upholstery Cleaner and went to work on it. After cleaning it with that product there wasn’t even a noticeable change. Then I went to the store and bought a product called Blue Coral Upholstery Cleaner and Spot Lifter, but the results were no different than Woolite. I went back to the store and bought a can of the product shown in the below picture. The reason I took a picture of it was to show the stains it is supposed to remove, and the guarantee it comes with. The guy at the store told me if this product didn’t work there would be nothing that would clean the chair.

When I started using this product I swear it smelled like lighter fluid, and I only tried it on a small area, because I was afraid it would disintegrate the fabric, but it didn’t even clean the area I tried it on. After all the failed attempts I got a cover, and covered the chair which has remained on there until today.

Now I have used Winning Colours on many carpet stains, and small stains on the couch and car interior, but since the entire back of the chair needed cleaning I felt like an upholstery cleaner designed for that purpose was my best choice. The thought of using Winning Colours on it has crossed my mind over the past couple of months, but since the other products designed for this purpose hadn’t worked I just never gave it a shot. Well today as I began my spring cleaning I decided “what the heck” I went and grabbed my Winning Colours, a towel, and my water bottle. Needless to say I was totally amazed with the results of my cleaning project. I wish I had taken some pictures prior to starting today, but I honestly didn’t think it was going to clean the chair. I am thankful I have the pictures that were taken in January, and even though you can’t see the entire back of the chair, I think these pictures gives you a good idea of what the rest of the chair looked like before I started. Even though the pictures I took after cleaning the chair look great, they really don’t do any justice to how great the chair looks now. It looks practically brand new, and I just wanted to share the great news of this product.
