Monk and I were sending messages back and forth today and he asked if I would share my story. Monk has always been willing to help and today was a perfect example when he took the time out of his busy schedule to speak with me on the phone. The least I could do is post a little about me. I'm sure there are other stories like it but this is mine and alot is due to Monk and the Den.

I started "playing" in the stock market a few years back. I would win some and lose most of the time. I never used more than I could afford to lose but $500 here or there adds up. The penny market is a brutal world as you all know especially if you have a real job and can not watch the daily happenings. Long story but my wife lost her job and received a severance package last February. She gave me a few thousand and said see what you can do. My first instinct was to put more into WAMU but decided to try and find another gem. I can't remember the post but I get a private message from Monk saying I might want to look at CEMJQ. My original thought was why is this guy recommending a stock through PM? I've seen this before and it usually is not a good thing. So I do a little research and see that he may be on to something. My first purchase was last April in the 4 cent range...again at 5 and 9 cents. I had 135,000 shares at one point and still hold a decent position today. I started following Monk with plays like CDIV, EIGH, SUGO and some other plays that will go unnamed. All have made me money! Turns out we were both in CJHBQ which I have high hopes for. Still hoping to see him in KATX one day as well...lol

To make a long story a little shorter, Monk's guidance and willingness to help has allowed me to be able to have my wife in school full time, pay off some debt and one day become a full time trader...after my first Monkinar of course smile The money I made last year also allowed me to have the funds to purchase other stocks that I would not have had otherwise. In less than a year I went from an account value of roughly $6000 to over $150,000. To some that may be chump change but to me it is a lot more than that. It taught me that true DD will pay off in the long run and I have a long way to go in that category. I still like the occasional penny gamble but those very rarely come through. I bought some stock in an ionic light bulb a while back for god's sake....lol

I just wanted to say thanks again to Monk and to a successful 2010!!! yes I am yelling at you
