Again this is pure speculation on my part, but it is fun to think about. At least it is fun for me to think about. wink

This has not been stated anywhere by Eric Parkinson, or TDGI that it is the Terminator Franchise that they are seeking.

But think about this, it has been said that the Terminator Franchise has probably 2 more films available to it.

VI-c). Franchise Venture Forecasts – Due to a myriad of unknown factors relating to the
Company’s pursuit of off-balance sheet financing in order to pursue a major entertainment
Franchise Venture, no forecasts are currently available. However, the Franchise Venture being
pursued is for a property which has generated feature films and television products with a
cumulative, worldwide gross of more than $2-billion to date from previously released programs.
Accordingly, the sales forecasts for Target-Hannover, should Company ultimately prevail in its
pursuit of the Franchise Venture, would likely be in the range of more than $100-million.

Lions Gate's $15-million-plus offer for 'Terminator' is now the bid to beat

Terminator Franchise Box Office takes-
10/26/1984 The Terminator $4,020,663 $38,019,031 $78,019,031 $6,400,000
7/3/1991 Terminator 2: Judgment Day $31,765,506 $204,859,496 $516,816,151 $100,000,000
7/1/2003 Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines $44,041,440 $150,358,296 $433,058,296 $170,000,000
5/21/2009 Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins $42,558,390 $125,322,469 $371,628,539 $200,000,000
Totals $518,559,292 $1,399,522,017 $476,400,000
Averages $129,639,823 $349,880,504 $119,100,000

So with DVD sales, and VOD the franchise has probably made over $2 Billion

Many people have said the only way the Terminator Franchise would have any success again, is if James Cameron was brought back to make the next one.

It is interesting that Eric and James apparently know each other, because Eric mentioned as a special thanks in this:

Very interesting to me!
