Mike The Pike Prods Acquires CopSwap for Arrestingly Unique WebCommunity

Jan 14, 2010 13:50:05 (ET)

LOS ANGELES, CA, Jan 14, 2010 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- Mike The Pike Productions, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: MIKP) New Media division is pleased to announce that it has finalized its acquisition of TheCopSwap.com and CopSwap.org along with a handful of affiliated domains which will serve as ancillary services and concepts related to the CopSwap brand as a whole. The site purchase, in addition to the company's recent coup in attaining ownership in ServeNation, should serve the company and its shareholders well as part of a minimum of three fully-functional, semi-automated web-based companies by the end of first quarter.

MTP New Media President Tim Bredemeyer states, "ServeNation alone is a multi-million dollar concept involving a soon to be announced one-of-a-kind streamlined giving process with which it will partner; and the plans being implemented for the CopSwap brand should have it poised to provide profits over and above enough to service operating capital for MTP across its three divisions."

TheCopSwap.com was originally conceived "By Police Officers, For Police Officers" and, in its initial stages, designed as a unique portal for police officers only auction and classified site, primarily as a means to buy and sell used police equipment (guns, weapons, ammunition, vests, etc.) which, for obvious reasons, are prohibited for sale to civilians or via civilian portals such as eBay, craigslist or otherwise.

"We saw a very good opportunity with the site's concept as-is, but with plenty of opportunity for application expansion and to refine its overall design, usability and visual appeal," states Mark B. Newbauer, MTP Prods CEO. " www.TheCopSwap.com will require very little capital for a much-needed revamp. In its first year of a Beta-run, with no marketing in place, the site has attracted close to 1000 officers nationwide who have signed up as members and have actively used CopSwap at one time or another. Our plans for the site will separate it from any other of its kind for both police officers and civilians with nationwide crime tip reporting, mobile texting capabilities for departments, civilian-officer interaction portals, police videos, retirement planning tips and services, coupons for cops and, of course, the police-only auction portal with an officer verification unit in place as part of the acquisition."

New Media President, Bredemeyer, states, "MTP will release a breakdown of projections for CopSwap and ServeNation shortly. I can say that we expect, conservatively, for CopSwap to net in excess of 100k in its first year including ad revenue, auction fees and premium content with over $1M in revenue by end of 2013. These projections do not include proceeds from ancillary concepts and services which will become a large part of the CopSwap brand as discussions with service providers for innovative technology licensing have been initiated."

The Motion Picture division is making headway on its first low-budget feature, currently titled "Horse" as producers have exercised the right for screenwriter Cam Clark to provide a final revision for principal photography. "Cameron is very talented and the screenplay is entertaining and well-structured; We've discussed the screenplay with police officers and researched the drug trade in Indiana for authenticity and Cameron has agreed, per his Agreement with MTP, to furnish a polished revision which will render both entertaining and culpable," states Newbauer. "Our location scout for the production, Matthew Kuntz, has secured locations at a blend of deferred cost and in-kind gifts which can be valued at over $56,000. In addition to savings, this significantly increases the production value at no upfront cost to the project with locations including the Midwest's largest nightclub/entertainment center, retail stores, houses, an exotic dance club and an industrial warehouse, among others."

MTP has completed NDA requirements and is under compliance/due diligence with its prospective venture capital partners, an entity which will fund 100% of a $12M slate including 'Fish in a Barrel' and 'Dresden Sun' once MTP Prods has secured a partner with 30% of the need on its behalf to activate the funding mechanism. MTP Prods is currently in discussion with two interested, capable parties which have also signed NDA/compliance forms toward moving forward.
